Description

The Pillars of Creation

My first visit to the Eagle Nebula! 💯

I took this while at the Outer Banks over 3 nights in the hours just before sunrise 🌅 🌌

The Eagle Nebula, also known as Messier 16, is a young open cluster of stars located in the constellation Serpens. It’s famous for the “Pillars of Creation,” towering columns of gas and dust where new stars are forming. This stunning image was captured by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1995 and has become one of the most iconic astronomical images ever taken.
